Sedation Dentistry, Invisalign, Technology
Sedation dentistry allows routine dental care to be performed in a relaxed atmosphere. The patient is awake but will not remember the appointment. The protocol for sedation dentistry is as follows: the night before the the patient takes some Diazapam. The patient has nothing to eat after midnight. One hour before the dental appointment in the morning the patient take one pill, generally Triazolam, and is driven by a designated driver to the dental office. At the time of the appointment, the patient is evaluated and the decision is made whether more sedation is warranted. Once optimal sedation is achieved the restorative process begins. The entire procedure is safe and effective. Sedation Dentistry has given thousands of patients the ability to get restorative dentistry without the burden of anxiety. It is incredible that dentistry has evolved to allow us to offer this adjunct to restorative care
