Dr. Shukovsky offers nitrous oxide ("sweet gas") for a light sedation and/or oral sedation (drug-induced) treatments for the anxious, phobic, fearful dental patient. Other candidates for oral sedation are the severe gagger, the local anesthetic resistant patient, as well as patients that have time constraints and wish to get a large amount of dental care completed in the shortest number of appointments.
Oral sedation and nitrous oxide are extremely safe and effective. Dr. Shukovsky and his staff will be happy to explain the procedures of sedation so that your dental treatment can be accomplished with reduced fear and anxiety. Modern dental treatments can be performed pain-free and and in a safe and caring environment.
