If you are reading this, I want to say thank you. I am trying to keep my patients, friends and any other interested parties informed about what it is I do all day. I like to think of myself as a dentist that tries to keep up with the latest in dentistry. Materials, techniques, technology, courses, Invisalign, sedation dentistry, laser dentistry, digital x-rays, digital photography, velscope cancer detection, laser cavity diagnodent and T-Scan are important to today’s dental practice. But I am sure we would all agree that nothing replaces the one-on-one patient-to-doctor experience. When we overlay the human interaction with the advances in technology we really get a synergy of treatment that gets great results.
It has been known for quite awhile that silver amalgam fillings can cause the fracture of teeth. Along with secondary decay, it is one of the main reasons we replace silver fillings. Modern dentistry now allows us to replace those fillings with ceramic inlays, onlays and crowns. It is not for cosmetics that we replace those silver fillings, it is for a functional reason. Yet, when we replace these fillings and the teeth look like they never had a filling, our patients tell us that they are so much happier with the way they look! A collateral benefit.
So, Here is the formula:
Take one patient. Add a positive team interaction. Listen to the patient. Use the latest technology. Mix together.
Result: One happy patient. And this one thing allows my team and I to go to work with our own smiles.
